St.Modwen would like to produce a promotional film for their 30th anniversary, the film will highlight St.Modwen’s successes throughout the years and show how they have grown and where their future is headed.
As well as a promotional film, St.Modwen would like to revamp and expand on their visual content, in particular their logo during the 12 months of their 30th anniversary. This revamp could also include a social campaign to draw attention to their website.
Finally, St.Modwen would like to create an animated GIF to highlight and promote the introduction of the company's intranet. This should be engaging ad will encourage the use of the intranet.
We have had a look through the company information available online to gain a deeper insight into the different concepts we can use for the 30th anniversary film. We will build out on one of these concepts when you have selected a preferred option, and provide additional styleframes once we have done further research, with your assistance. We would produce the 30th Anniversary film in one of three ways.
The concept will concentrate on either a count down or a look through 30 things that have happened at St.Modwen over the past 30 years. It will focus on the achievements and highlighting key events from the years. This will include a variety of footage from interviews, animation, drone, archive footage and live action from St.Modwen events.
For this concept we could adopt a split screen of footage and images, this will allow us to show the wide range of footage and information in a shorter form piece, ultimately keeping it at a faster paced but more gripping.

We will also cut to full-screen footage throughout, similar to the Fox College Football example below.
For this concept, we will seamlessly move between footage of St. Modwen real estate and the areas around it. Utilising a range of sourced drone footage before we lead into a variety of mid and interior shots. Throughout the film we could also add animation to add to the real estate footage.
Overall we want to feel like there is a constant momentum to the camera, and continue to pull the viewer toward the screen, as we cut from wide, to mid, to closeup shots.
In order to fully sell the audience into this constant movement, we intend to use match cuts to lead from one environment to another.

This concept would include a number of interviews with existing workers, highlighting the potential of the company and the benefits of working for St.Modwen. The central focus of the video would be interviews with their employees that have been working for St.Modwen for 30 years, with this we can portray a sense of how far the company has come and what it means to work there.

In the lead up to the 30th anniversary of St.Modwen the logo could change, reflecting events in their calendar or holidays dependant on the time of year like Christmas or Valentines day. This could be a fun way to draw attention to the possible up coming video, all assets created would be produced in various sizes, in order to work with websites, mail-outs, and social media. This concept could be done through a variety of animations/GIFs or stills:
The animated logos could be made to loop continuously or play just once (for example, if a visitor to the website rolls over the logo).
This concept could also be done in stills, using a variety of design and illustrations to add an element of fun to the logo in the count down to the 30th anniversary.
Google Doodles are great examples of a fresh and engaging ways that a logo can change:
IA would like to help create excitement and awareness of the St.Modwen Intranet by producing a GIF that can be added to employees email signatures. As the launch approaches we could visually symbolise the count down. Please see below for some ideas:
• Bomb with timer, as per client suggestion
• Sand timer with a countdown next to it. As the sand falls, it forms into the shape of a wireframe circle, demonstrating connectivity.
• Image of globe (symbol associated with intranet). It rotates continuously, and has a day number in the middle, which will count down.
Below are some examples of GIFs that IA have previously produced:
