Ah, Mr Bond, we've been expecting you...

It's really very good to be bad. Just ask Anthony Hopkins, Christopher Lee, Alan Rickman, Ian McKellen, Peter Cushing, Donald Pleasance, Terence Stamp... Oh the list goes on as celluloid history swells with the weight of an extremely British kind of evil. (Pop quiz; match the villain with the movie(s))

Not only that, but all those degenerate Roman's are British, as are Nazis and anyone wicked in the future. Tough break.

Now with tongue firmly in cheek Jaguar enters the fray with this piece of cinematic excellence for the sexy new F-Type Coupe. Featuring not one but three awesomely understated yet OTT performances from Sir Ben Kingsley, Tom Hiddleston and Mark Strong, this Superbowl-aired spot sizzles with style, grandeur, and yes that uniquely British brand of baddie.

With Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper at the helm and an ominous original soundtrack composed and conducted by Alexandre Desplat and recorded by The London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road it really is a class act.

Following the ad up is this slick microsite that nicely expands on the world domination theme, while doing a pretty good job of selling a car that – let's be honest – hasn't been entirely British for quite some time.

(Cue manic laughter.)
